The Petrotest® Cleveland Open Cup Instrument (CLA 5) is fully a automatic tester for determining ASTM D92 flash and fire point analysis of liquid as well as highly viscous or solid samples measuring flashpoint in the range up to 400ºC (without any additional equipment.
When examining highly viscous specimens, a preheating temperature and time is set in order to warm-up and liquefy the sample so that the temperature Pt-100 probe can be easily inserted. A barometric sensor has also been installed to compensate for the influence of the atmospheric pressure during the test, resulting in maximum accuracy and repeatability.
The versatile analyzer features the latest electronics, including a 5.7-inch color graphics display and Pmove® jog wheel control. It offers a flashpoint scanning function and comes equipped with a barometric pressure sensor for corrected results, according to ASTM).
The Petrotest CLA 5 offers sophisticated data administration and USB interface. Its firmware runs on well known OMAP platform technology and can be updated via USB stick. In addition, the versatile instrument offers three user languages: English, French and German.
